CHAPTCHA: Camera-based Assessment in PhysioTherapy for Customized Health

Run time: 01.01.2024-31.12.2025

Tech2People

The tech2people and PCA project CHAPTCHA aims to provide individualised, data-driven therapy of the future and to implement clinically relevant assessments in both therapy and home care.

The CAPTCHA (Camera-based Assessment in PhysioTherapy for Customised Health Assistance) project aims to apply the latest AI and computer vision technologies to realise objective, camera-based assessments of human physiology. These will support and improve regular physiological assessment in therapy sessions, enable scaling to remote therapy, and form the basis for fully automated home therapy services in the future.

The CAPTCHA project is developing a fully visual, (multi-)camera-based assessment system that enables the digital implementation of physical assessments by therapists or in self-assessment. This enables the comparability and transferability of therapy progress in physiotherapy through objectified, standardised data. By using the latest AI algorithms in the field of computer vision, CAPTCHA will create a highly scalable, contextualised representation of the interpretation of body movement capabilities with a minimal hardware setup.
