The aim of the BMNT project is to provide instruments that help to measure innovation in Austria.
As innovation indicators, patents and basic research are taken into account in the EU Framework Programmes. In particular, the aim of the BMNT project is to provide search tools capable of finding patents and EU basic research projects on a specific topic, such as “green technology” with a high degree of accuracy in terms of precision and recall. RSA Data Science provides search tools to measure the goals of the BMNT project in innovation.

The following packages have been delivered:

– Patent Search: Based on the international patent classifications (IPC and CPC),
Patent search system implemented, which is able to assign patents
Classifications on a specific topic.
– Search in EU basic research programmes: Based on the database for existing research projects
(EUPRO), a search system was implemented that searches research projects for
given topic like “green technology.
