Austria’s innovative data ecosystem meets international relatives
The BMVIT’s lead project “Data Market Austria”(DMA), managed by the research studio Data Science, will be “touring” through Austria in the next few weeks. Specifically, DMA and Data Science studio head Dr. Mihai Lupu will be present at the following congresses and events:
- On Friday, 15.03.2019, a workshop on Open Data will be held in the Wappensaal of the Vienna City Hall from 15:00 hrs as part of the fifth international “B2B Software Days“. In addition to the City of Vienna and DMA, other initiatives such as the Open Data Institute, the Open Knowledge Foundation and the OpenGLAM initiative will be presented. Speakers include Mihai Lupu Brigitte Lutz, Sylvia Petrovic-Majer, Wolfgang Brunauer and David Beardmore.
- Wednesday, April 3, 2019, is the next opportunity for networking and getting to know “Data Market Austria”: Mihai Lupu holds the keynote speech“Data Markets in Austria and Europe: Best Practice Projects Data Market Austria (Ö) and Industrial Data Space (DE)” as a kick-off workshop for the new “InDI – Industrial Data Initiative” of the ITC IT-Cluster Linz (venue: Business Upper Austria. Hafenstraße 47-51, event time: 13 to 16 hrs).
And right one day later, on Thursday, April 4, 2019, DMA will participate in the “Data Governance Conference 2019” of the ADV – Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Datenverarbeitung im Park Hyatt-Hotel in Vienna. This conference will take place for the second time in Vienna. Mihai Lupu will give the presentation “Data Market Austria: From Data to Value” at 17:15.
