At Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft – RSA FG – we work to bring innovations in the field of digital intelligence from Austria’s universities to the market. The Research Studio Smart Digital Industries & Services (SDIS) works on Cyber Physical Systems Engineering with a strong focus on IoT. For our applied research work we look for a:

Internship – (f/m/d) Full/Part – time, Vienna Metropolitan Area

What you will be doing:

The focus of your work will be the development of distributed systems making use of AI, Cloud and IoT based approaches, often in cooperation with external partners. In producing radically new applications, we often face high uncertainty and respond to such situations by following a lean process of prototyping and measuring in order to stay flexible and learn fast.

What we require of you:

• You work towards a degree in computer science or a related field.
• Your passion for software & systems engineering encompasses writing good code, finding the right architecture, satisfying the users of your product and following an adequate process.
• You are interested in learning about technologies/fields like:
  • IoT Systems Engineering
  • Python, Node.js, Java
  • DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab CI)
• You are capable of thinking critically, arguing rationally and of making and respecting team decisions.
• You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable using English, speaking to and writing for a range of professional audiences
• You are an organized and practical person and are happy to learn how to support project management in tasks like reporting or monitoring the resources

Optionally

• You are happy to be exposed to a German speaking environment.
• You have experience in code and system documentation
• You are interested in contributing to scientific publications.

What the RSA FG can offer you:

• A gross salary of 1.500 € per month (fulltime) or more, depending on qualification and experience
• The offer is for 6 months, with the option of extending the contract based on an evaluation of your performance
