The Austrian daily newspaper “Der Standard” reports in a research special on two successful projects from the Research Studio iSPACE – Smart Settlement Systems: ULTIMOB and Airport 4.0.
For example, the Ultimob use case Leogang is cited as a successful example. In cooperation with the Salzburg Transport Association and the province of Salzburg, the project analyses the need for a “micro-public transport” system integrated into the environmental network. Together with the municipality, a flexible shuttle service was developed. The Loigom Shuttle has been in operation since September and offers an attractive service for locals and tourists.
The aim of the “Airport 4.0” project, on the other hand, is to plan and implement future-oriented mobility services at Salzburg Airport. iSPACE is working together with the airport operator, the City and Province of Salzburg, the Salzburg Transport Association and the IDA-Lab of the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg to develop the airport into a multifunctional transport hub.
