MicroLearning technology from Salzburg supports administrative reforms in Macedonia

More than 3,000 active civil servants and administrative employees from 60 governmental and administrative units in Macedonia use the e-learning software “KnowledgePulse” for their further training.

The use of this technology not only saves time and training costs, it also keeps officers always up to date – a particularly important aspect in the transformational process of reform, according to the Macedonian Minister for Information, Society and Administration, Ivo Ivanovski. Mr. Ivanovski was in Salzburg with a business delegation at the invitation of the Salzburg Economic Chamber.

The pilot project for the education and further training of civil servants was initiated in 2012. It has become a success story by its second year. “The revolutionary aspect of this project lies in the fact that the Macedonian authorities are using it to implement their entire process of transformation”, says Prof. Peter A. Bruck, CEO and Scientific Director of Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft. KnowledgePulse® technology is also being used in comparable scenarios in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Sri Lanka.
