iSPACE at GIS Day in Salzburg and Linz
Studio iSPACE again presented innovative and new project results to interested school classes at the international GIS Day in November 2016 at the locations Salzburg and Linz. In Salzburg the EU Interreg Alpine Space Project “THE4BEES” was presented to the pupils. This project deals with, among other things, energy saving in school classes with the help of sensors and the communication of the results in story maps. The students had a lot of fun trying out the CAT S60 Smartphone with integrated thermal imaging camera. In Linz, different indoor and outdoor positioning technologies were presented in the context of Industry 4.0. To illustrate this, some of the results of the FFG project “ASSIST 4.0” were presented here. During these days the students were given an insight into the interesting world of research and had the opportunity to ask questions themselves and to test new technologies interactively.
