New calculation method for subsequent summarization
At the new “Talk for Experts” lecture series of the “Smart Building” and “Smart Buildings in Smart Cities” courses at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and the newly founded “Zentrum Alpines Bauen”, iSPACE researchers Sabine Gadocha and Thomas Prinz will be presenting a new approach and a new calculation method for optimizing post-compaction on May 9, 2019 at Campus Kuchl, 5 to 7 pm.
Post-compaction refers to the subsequent denser construction of already built-up areas. This is intended to counteract urban sprawl and increasing distances between work and home. The overall objectives are less individual traffic and an energy-saving and resource-conserving construction method.
Geoinformatics is looking for solutions to counteract the high land consumption, i.e. the conversion of natural areas into settlement areas as population figures increase. A geoinformatics-based approach to this was developed in the project “BONSEI! Bestand Optimal Nutzen – Sanierung Energieeffizient Implementieren!” (Optimal Use of Existing Buildings – Refurbishment and Energy Efficient Implementation), based among other things on the survey of 900 buildings in the Salzburg districts of Itzling and Elisabeth-Vorstadt. The Research Studio iSPACE of RSA FG was project lead with various partners.
Sabine Gadocha will present the calculation methods, research results and the specially developed consulting services within the project “BONSEI!”, which was completed in 2018, in her lecture.
