Junior IoT Research Engineer (f/m/d) Full-/Part-time, Vienna Metropolitan Area and St. Pölten

 What you will be doing:

The focus of your work will be supporting the development of cyber physical systems, such as digital farming solutions, leveraging AI, cloud computing, and IoT technologies, frequently in collaboration with external partners. We are seeking an IoT Developer, who is eager to develop his or her skills further in the area of IoT engineering. The successful candidate will be supporting the designing, developing, and testing of cutting-edge IoT applications and embedded systems for connected devices. You will integrate these devices with cloud platforms and back-end systems while collaborating closely with our researchers across various projects. As part of a cross-functional team, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that contribute to the advancement of Industry 4.0/5.0, smart technologies, and their applications in diverse fields. A passion for staying ahead of emerging industry trends and technologies is essential.

What we require of you:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience in IoT development, embedded systems, or similar roles.
  • Experience with IoT protocols like MQTT, HTTP, and WebSockets and IoT cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of networking, data management, and security in IoT environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Comfortable using English in speaking and writing.
  • Organized, practical, and eager to learn how to support project management through tasks such as reporting and resource monitoring.

  • A gross salary of minimum 2400€ per month (assuming fulltime) or more, depending on qualification and experience.
  • The offer is for a permanent position.
