Research Results from ULTIMOB Enable Innovative Pilot Project in Leogang
The project ULTIMOB (Ultimate Integrated Mobility) from the studio iSPACE of the RSA FG is a broad research project within the program “Mobility of the Future” of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology.
The aim of the project is to advance the mobility turnaround as well as to create necessary new mobility offers. Exactly this could be implemented in September 2022 by the first micro-public transport project in the province of Salzburg organized by the Salzburg Transport Association: with the Loigom Shuttle, there is a new, attractive mobility offer in the Pinzgau community.

SIGIR is one of the most reputable conferences in the field of information retrieval (IR) and focuses on all aspects of information storage, retrieval and dissemination, including research strategies, output schemes and system evaluations. After a two-year hiatus in holding conferences face-to-face, the in-person gathering and interchange is once again progressively returning to international societies. After earlier this year the European Conference on Information Retrieval was held […]
Digitalization in Therapy and Care
RSA FG supports tech2people in the development of digital, robotics-assisted therapy methods and actively researches new technologies in the field of AAL.
The aging of Austria’s population presents the country with new challenges, such as a sharp increase in the need for care services. In addition, 150,000 people with transverse paralysis and 300,000 with multiple sclerosis live in the DACH region. Furthermore, there are about 250,000 stroke patients per year. Continuous advances in digitalization and assistive technology offer opportunities to support and strengthen both care and convalescence by means of physiotherapy in a fundamentally new way.

RSA FG experts presented innovative digital tools in Carinthia
Climate-fit is the buzzword that municipalities are using to create new solutions for the design of neighborhoods and settlements and to counter the climate crisis. In Carinthia, part of the iSPACE team provided insights and examples of how this can work.
ULTIMOB project created mobility solutions for four pilot regions
After four and a half years, the ULTIMOB project came to an end. During this time, projects were developed in the greater Salzburg area, Tullnerfeld, Feldkirchen/Graz and Ötztal to support forward-looking mobility solutions and promote eco-mobility. In Salzburg, the project was supported by the Research Studio iSPACE of the RSA FG and the Salzburg Transport Association. From the planning to the implementation of mobility solutions, the various ULTIMOB project partners can point to numerous positive results after the end of the project. A prime example of the solutions developed is the "Loigom-Soifel" shuttle, which covers the last mile and thus adds an important element to public transport. After a good start in Leogang, the concept and initial implementation was extended to Saalfelden. The final closing event therefore also took place in Leogang with Mayor Josef Grießner and other mayors from interested Salzburg municipalities. The title ULTIMOB stands for "Ultimate Integrated Mobility", so the aim is to drive forward the mobility transition, create the necessary new mobility services and combine them with existing solutions in a meaningful way. There were four pilot regions for this: In Tullnerfeld, the focus was on the "last mile", i.e. the possibility of a public connection until the destination. In a test operation, the existing bus system was upgraded with electric vehicles and the Tullnerfeld train station was connected more efficiently and quickly to the town centers and residential areas. The focus in the Ötztal pilot region was on dealing with tourism and, above all, the routes taken by guests. The question was how tourism [...]
