iSPACE Research Studio’s contribution to ASTUS – Successful final event in Ljubljana
In mid-October 2019, the final event of the Alpine Space project ASTUS – Alpine Smart Transport and Urbanism Strategies took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In order to enable and attract low-CO2 everyday mobility in the Alpine Space, the ASTUS project developed innovative basics, tools and strategies for mobility and settlement planning and derived recommendations for action. The project partners from five countries of the Alpine Space gave an insight into the project results and pilot activities in 17 regions of the Alpine Space.
The Research Studio iSPACE of the RSA FG developed the ASTUS Territorial Alpine Space Typology in the ASTUS project, further developed the MORECO household computer and provided data analyses on commuter networks in particular. For the pilot region Pongau, the Research Studio iSPACE of the RSA FG and the project partner SIR are working on low-CO2 solutions for everyday commuting in the communities St. Veit im Pongau and Werfen.
The ASTUS video gives an overview of the project idea and content. The detailed project results can be read on the project homepage. The results of the Salzburg project partners RSA FG and SIR were summarized in a separate brochure.
