Project Details

Runtime: 13.01.2025-12.01.2026

Project Lead: Herry Consult

Partner: Grazer Energieagentur

Das Projekt wurde im Rahmen der Ausschreibung “Zero Emission Mobility plus” des Klima- und Energiefonds gefördert.

A new iSPACE project is developing a method for assessing mobility costs and options, paving the way for the creation of a Mobility Certificate.

The A++ project was launched in March 2025 with a kick-off meeting at project lead Herry Consult and the project partners from the Grazer Energieagentur and Studio iSPACE.

The choice on where to live has a major influence on everyday mobility, energy consumption and the associated costs. However, when deciding where to live, there is often a lack of compact information on mobility expenditure and mobility costs. The aim of the project is to develop a methodology for creating a mobility certificate for locations so that mobility costs and environmental impacts are made visible. The mobility certificate is to be created according to the color and letter scheme of the Austrian energy certificate in order to make the expected mobility costs or mobility expenditure visible in addition to the expected energy consumption.

A++ is an innovative contribution to sustainable mobility planning in Austria, developing and testing a standardized mobility assessment for residential properties for the first time. By providing the mobility card, the aim is to promote the choice of residential locations with good public transport connections or high quality “walking” or “cycling” in the residential environment. This can make residents’ choice of transport more sustainable and reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector.

The project was funded as part of the Climate and Energy Fund’s “Zero Emission Mobility plus” call for proposals.
