Enerspired Cities
Whether on a local, regional or global scale, implementing the decarbonisation of the existing energy system is becoming increasingly important. There are many ways to achieve this: increasing the rate of refurbishment of existing buildings, substitution of fossil heating technologies, intelligent decentralised control, intelligent mobility concepts, etc. are just a few of the approaches.
Urban planning processes and integrative system analyses are based on available (geo)data and intelligent interpretation models. While models and metrics for sound decision making are usually available, access to the necessary data is often not clarified.
In “Enerspired Cities”, a concept for central information and access control to harmonised publicly accessible and other relevant but usage-limited (geo)data for urban planning processes is being developed and implemented in three pilot implementations in the provincial capitals Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna. These implementations are designed as a starting point for a roll-out of the concept throughout Austria.
