LösungsWege develops and implements innovative planning tools (based on national standards) for municipalities and regions that make it possible to measure local mobility patterns and visualise their transport and environmental impacts. This can be used to initiate new inter-municipal and inter-regional cooperation processes in order to support the development and implementation of new integrated and needs-based on-demand services and implement them on a pilot basis.

Comprehensive data on personal mobility (passenger kilometres per mode of transport and drive type, modal split, geo-referenced and digitally accessible services, etc.) is currently not available at municipal level. There is a great need for nationwide data innovations and digital innovations for evidence-based foundations for the development of new on-demand services.

Goals:

  1. Development and creation of a methodology (nationwide) for bottom-up GHG inventories for personal mobility, including implementation for Styria.
  2. Creation of a geo-referenced database of all existing on-demand offers of the environmental network in Eastern Styria.
  3. Development and demonstration of a MaaS & OSS web app – joint visibility, use and booking of all on-demand offers with a web app and RFID card.
  4. Joint business and operating concept of all relevant stakeholders in the region for continuation after the end of the project.

The iSPACE studio is leading the work package ‘Understanding mobility demand – bottom-up GHG inventories’. The focus here is on a standardised, Austria-wide applicable preparation, analysis and presentation of mobility demand for locations in order to develop evidence-based planning principles and thus strengthen transport and energy spatial planning drivers, minimise obstacles and develop necessary concepts.

Studio iSPACE is also involved in the work package ‘Innovative foundations for integrated spatial transport planning and the development and implementation of new integrated and needs-based mobility services’.
