Sebastian Cadus is awarded the science prize by the Salzburg Chamber of Labour.
At this year’s award ceremony for the Science Prize of the Salzburg Chamber of Labour, the master’s thesis by iSPACE employee Sebastian Cadus entitled “A Housing and Mobility Cost Calculator for the Province of Salzburg” was selected by the jury in category 2: Future topic or technical/scientific topic.
The paper dealt with settlement development and mobility in the Alpine region, which is characterised by constantly rising land consumption, urban sprawl, increasing commuting distances and motorised private transport. The MOR€CO household calculator developed in the course of the work should help to highlight existing interactions and to raise the awareness of households with regard to their housing and mobility decisions in order to promote conscious and far-sighted decisions. The prize was awarded on 23.11.2015.
We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere congratulations!
