Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christian Huemer is Associate Professor at the Institute for Software Technology and Interactive Systems at the Vienna University of Technology. He is also the scientific director of the Smart Applications Technologies (SAT) studio at Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft mbH. For several years, he chaired the UN/CEFACT Techniques and Methods Group (TMG) and was a member of UN/CEFACT’s Forum Management. In addition, he is also instrumental in the standardization efforts of UN/CEFACT’s Modeling Methodology (UMM).

Furthermore, he leads the e-Commerce section of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) and is a member of the RosettaNet Message Control and Choreography (MCC) program. His research interests are methods for modeling e-business transactions and model-driven approaches in the area of service-oriented architectures.
